Charlie DuBois, Jenna Spinelle, and the IST Communications Office released an announcement yesterday concerning Startup Weekend. This was promptly picked up by the Penn State News Wire, as well.
IST ListServ mailings were sent out today, along with announcements to several other mailing lists.

Just like the summer flying by, so is the time leading up to Startup Weekend in State College! We are now just two months from the event, taking place from October 24-26 in the IST Building’s Cybertorium. The official site is now up on StartupWeekend.com.

Startup Weekend Date Change


Due to the fact that Penn State scheduled Parents & Families Day for October 3-5, we needed to move the dates for Startup Weekend in State College.
The event will now begin the evening of Friday, October 24 and conclude on Sunday, October 26. Please update your calendars! Registration will be opening soon.

State College Startup Weekend Site Now Online


Startup Weekend was holding off until July to officially announce the event, but the investigative crew over at ISTbuilding.com discovered the weekend’s site shortly after it was launched. Further information, the announcement on the main StartupWeekend.com site, and the ticket purchase system are expected to go live in July.

State College, PA, is now the leading venue for Startup Weekend. Currently, it has 394 votes compared with its next nearest contender Columbus with 352. Great job everyone, spreading the word via Facebook groups, blogs, and word of mouth!
