Enterprise Facebook
January 2, 2008
I read this article recently about WorkLight. They’re an Israeli-based startup working on Web 2.0 solutions for the enterprise world. In doing so, WorkLight is releasing WorkBook, an application for Facebook which will push corporate data to Facebook securely. The article reports that the application is designed in such a way as to facilitate corporate collaboration without exposing sensitive data. It certainly sounds like an interesting concept, and with enterprises looking to find new ways to engage younger employees, this seems to be an interesting way to go about it. Overall, though, it’s another good example of enterprise uses of technology first largely popularized by students.
