Welcome!

Welcome all to the PSU Startups blog! As I wrote in my personal blog, one of the key drivers for the Lion Launch Pad will be to build a hub of entrepreneurship around the organization.

Dave Barton built a great site for the Lion Launch Pad, but a strong community is the other half needed now. We want this virtual community to become an active network between students, faculty, alumni, local businesses, and others who are interested in seeing entrepreneurship flourish in State College. And we want the network to serve all of its members – students looking for mentors, investors looking to participate in ventures, alumni who want to get involved helping aspiring entrepreneurs, etc. I think that there is much to be offered by such a network and hopefully, we can start building it.

Ideally, it would be great to have students talking about their ventures, alumni & investors sharing their experiences and advice, and getting a discourse started.

The key will be having everyone contribute, so this site is going to be an open space for people to communicate with each other. Starting now, anyone who wants to contribute, just send a request in and we’ll get you setup with an account.

As a first step, there’s a new Lion Launch Pad Facebook group for people who want to stay informed.

Let’s start the discussion!
