The PSU Startups is part of the Startup Blog Network. Alexander Muse started the network in 2005 when he published his first post on the Texas Startup Blog. Today his blog has more than 1,500 articles on entrepreneurship and venture capital and has garnered international attention with more than 50,000 regular readers. In 2008, Alexander and his team expanded the network to all fifty states, with plans to expand outside of the United States over the next year. The PSU Startups blog is authored by Robert Shedd.
Robert Shedd is the Penn State Catalyst for SpringStage. He is currently a CRM Business Intelligence consultant in the Financial Services sector with IBM Global Business Services. Prior to joining IBM, Robert worked with several entrepreneurial ventures, including an independent consulting firm he founded. In addition to his work in technology, Robert serves on the board of directors for the Lion Launch Pad, a non-profit business accelerator to support students at Penn State in the pursuit of entrepreneurial ventures. He holds a bachelors degree in Information Sciences and Technology from Penn State.
